Abba II is proving over & over again what a great dog he is as well as a great Sire.We competed in the Ultimate Stock Dog Championship on the weekend of 22nd,23rd & 24th May 2015 at Taralga with Karana Abba II & his Son Karana Tige II we were limited to 2 dogs per competitor & the task for the weekend was to work a yard trial & a 3 sheep trial & a cattle trial & all scores were totalled up to find an eventual winner. Abba came 2nd over all & Tige came equal 3rd with another son of Abba Karana Jed worked by Greg Walton another son of Abba Karana Max again worked by Greg Walton came 8th, so we had 3 of the top 4 were Karana bred dogs & 4 of the top 8 were Karana Dogs Abba & his 3 sons proving Abba's ability as a Sire. Tige won the cattle section with a score of 97.
Abba II is a very good all round dog, the type of dog everyone would love to own full of good quality work and will keep on trying when things get tough or the day is getting a bit long, a great dog he is out of Karana Zap II & by Boanong Buster owned by Michael Johnston and I believe Buster was one of the best Kelpies ever bred. As is Abba II

12th November 2016 Karana Abba II Won the Open Yard Dog Trial at Queanbeyan show with Karana Tige II ( Abba's son ) coming 3rd. This is Abba's 11th Win in Open Yard Trials for 2016 & he is now nearly 11 years old.
6th November 2016 Karana Abba II Won the Open Yard Dog Trial at Windellima 98+91, Karana Rambo came 2nd Karana Max of Greg Walton's came 3rd & Karana Tige came 4th an all Karana Final !!
15th April 2017 Abba II came 4th in the Open Yard Dog Championship at Hay Abba's son Tige came 2nd
25th March Abba II came 2nd in the Open Yard Championship at Yass
19th March 2017 Abba II Won the Open Yard Trial at Tumbarumba
22nd October 2016 Abba II Won the Forbes Yard Trial,
25th September Abba II got into the top 20 in the 3 sheep trial at Henty Field Day but struck bad sheep in his next round & because of his age I retired him rather than knock him about.He was the only Kelpie to get into the top 20
17th September 2016 Abba II Won the Open Yard Dog Trial at Eugowra & 3 of his sons were in the final, Karana Jed equal 2nd with Karana Rambo,Karana Max 4th & Karana Tige 5th.

24th May 2015 Abba came 2nd in the Ultimate Stock Dog Championship at Taralga ( yard,3 sheep & cattle trial combined scores from each event Abba scoring 80 in the 3 sheep 94 in the yard & 92 in the cattle.
9th May 2015 Abba came 2nd in the Open Yard Dog Championship at Wellington
3rd May 2015 Abba came 2nd in the NSW Utility Championship at Eugowra ( his son Tige won the Novice )
18th April 2015 Abba came 2nd in the National Kelpie Utility Championship hosted on a big sheep station called "Connorville" at Ross in Tasmania.2 points behind our (Karana Ripper II Won). The sheep were very runny & difficult to handle & the scores were low the cover & hold of our dogs came through in the end with Ripper Winning by 2 points & Abba 10 points in front of 3rd placed dog.
11th April 2015 Abba came 7th in the Australian Championship Yard Dog Trial at Ross in Tasmania.
14th March 2015 Abba came 4th in the Brendan Regent Yard Dog Championship at Yass (his son Tige won it)
8th March 2015 Abba came 5th in the Monaro Yard Dog Championship at Dalgety
7th March 2015 Abba came 3rd in the Open Yard Trial at Boorowa
22nd February 2015 Abba II Won the Open Yard Trial at Gunning on very tough sheep winning by 24 Points proving just how good he really is, scores 93 + 91 = 184 His son Tige came equal second scoring 81 + 79 = 160

24th September 2014 Abba II scored a 91 in the first round of the 3 sheep trial at the Henty Field Day the highest score for the first round but in the top 20 he struck one sheep in his 3 that was crazy & he failed to progress to the top 7.

20-Oct-11 - Abba won the NSW Utility Championship held at the National Field Day Orange NSW. This latest win puts Abba II into a class of his own having won the National Kelpie Utility Championship in April 2011 and the NSW Yard Dog Championship in August 2011 and the NSW Utility Championship in October 2011. No other dog has ever won these 3 titles in the one year.

20-Aug-11- Abba won the NSW Yard Dog Championship at Ganmain.
10-Apr-11 - Karana ABBA II won the NKFTC at Euroa in Victoria and Karana Sami came 2nd place. We won the breeder's trophy, highest individual score Trophy, Best Field Work Trophy and the National Kelpie Field Trial Championship Winners Trophy.
14-Mar-11- Abba won the Open Utility Trial at Lindenow VIC.
21-Oct-10 - Abba came equal 3rd with Karana Rambo in the NSW Utility Championship.
18-Sep-10 - Abba won the Open Yard Dog Trial at Eugowra scoring 98+98=196.
28-Aug-10 - Abba won the Open 3 sheep Trial at Wentworth against some of the best 3 sheep trial workers in Australia and their Border Collie dogs.
27-Mar-10 - Abba came 4th place in the Southern NSW Yard dog Championship at Wagga Wagga.
14-Nov-09 - Abba won the National Kelpie Championship at Westbury in Tasmania. Abba's Sire Boanong Buster won the Australian Yard Dog Championship at Westbury in Tasmania in 2009, the week before Abba II won the National Kelpie for the first time.

30-Aug-08 - Abba won the Novice “Classic” at Wentworth which is the combined first round scores of the Novice 3 sheep and the Novice Yard, demonstrating his all round ability.
30-Aug-08 - Abba won the Novice Yard Trial at Wentworth.
29-Aug-08 - Abba came 2nd place in the Novice 3 sheep at Wentworth, Rambo won it.
18-Jul-08 - Abba came 2nd place in the Novice Class Yard Trial at Mudgee Field Day.
23-Feb-08 - Abba came 4th place in the ACT Novice Yard Trial.
