Karana Ripper II Born 17 Feb 2007 Sire: Karana Digger II (Milburn Basil x UD Scarlet)
Dam: Karana Sami (Karana Duke x Ref: Karrawarra Mallee).
Ripper is a nice natured dog with natural all round ability, He has very good footwork much like his Sire Karana Digger II but is proving to be a better yard dog than Digger, With Ripper having more presence. Ripper is a long legged long bodied dog with a light frame compared to his full brother Rambo. Ripper covers the ground very easily and smoothly, He is an easy dog to work responding well to direction. He is showing true Utility style work I believe he has a big future; He will not start to show his full potential until he is 2 years old. Watch this space.
As it turned out my predictions about Ripper when he was first starting turned out to be correct.

11th December 2016 Ripper came 4th in the Victorian Utility Championship at Alexandra Rambo came 3rd & Karana Max worked by Greg Walton came 2nd. Adam James Won for the 3rd time in a row with Buster.Great achievement.
2nd October 2016 Ripper came 2nd in the NSW Yard Dog Championship held at Boorowa. Rambo came 3rd.
12th March 2016 Ripper came 3rd in the Open Yard Trial at Coonabarabran,Abba won it,Tige 2nd Rambo 4th.
6th March 2016 Ripper came 2nd in the Monaro Championship Yard Trial at Dalgety.
7th February 2016 Ripper came equal 2nd in the Open Yard Dog Trial at Nimmitabel. Karana Abba II Won it.
4th October 2015 Ripper came 4th in the Open Yard Dog Championship at Boorowa
19thSeptember 2015 Ripper Won the Open Yard Trial at the Eugowra Show
16 May 2015 RipperII came 4th in the Open Yard Trial at Dubbo
18th April 2015 Ripper Won the National Kelpie Utility Championship Trial at Cressy hosted on a large sheep station called "Connorville" in Tasmania. Ripper has come second on 2 previous occasions. Karana Abba came 2nd to Ripper on this occasion 2 points behind with Abba 10 points in front of 3rd placed dog.
31st August 2014 Ripper came equal 4th in the Wentworth Open Yard.
19th July 2014 Ripper Won the Nyngan Utility Trial ( Abba came 2nd & Sami came 4th )
12th July 2014 Ripper came 5th in the Mudgee Yard Dog Championship
12th July 2014 Ripper came 5th in the Open Yard Dog Championship at Mudgee
9th June 2014 Ripper came 5th in the Open 3 sheep Trial at Upper Horton

12-Sep-10 - Ripper came 2nd in the National Kelpie Championship at Morongla NSW with scores of 87+90=177 and his mother Karana Sami came 3rd.
29-Aug-10 - Ripper came 2nd in the Open Yard Dog Championship at Wentworth which Duke Won, Ripper also came 3rd in the Open Classic which is a combination score of the 3 sheep trial and the yard trial held at Wentworth.
12-Mar-10 - Ripper Won the Improver Class Yard Trial at the N S W Championship held at Coonabarabran he is now an open yard dog.
19-Sep-09 - Ripper came 5th in the Open Yard Trial at Eugowra 95+92=187.
29-Aug-09 - Ripper came 3rd in both the Novice and the Improver 3 sheep Trial at Wentworth, which Abba won both of.
08-Jun-09 - Ripper came 5th in the Victorian State Utility Championship which is a combination Field and Yard Trial all in the one Trial, Showing the same work Style as his Sire 'Karana Digger'. It usually takes a dog until he is over 2 years old before he can have the pressure of a Utility Trial put on him, too much pressure too soon can turn a young dog off his work.
